Our food

We pride ourselves on our home cooking and always have a selection of mouth-watering specials and puddings to tempt you. Our menu is accompanied by a carefully chosen and may I say, very reasonably priced wine-list and we also offer a choice of bottled international beers and lagers.

However its when night falls that the restaurant takes on a special character and is transformed to offer diners a unique  experience. The combination of candlelight and our breathtaking views over the romantic harbour, prove to be a truly memorable dining experience, popular with locals, promenaders, theatre goers and the Stars alike. In high season evening reservations are recommended.

Fresh lobsters are our House Speciality and are usually available.

At the Golden Grid we have a buy local and sustainability policy, sourcing the very freshest of ingredients from local farms, Estates and suppliers.

Apart from our famous Greenlays sausage, made to the 1873 secret recipe by Keith Wilson, Master Butcher of Proudfoots Scarborough, we will often feature seasonal specialities such as Wykeham Game Casserole, Bouillabaisse, Fresh Oysters, Crab and Lobster.
